Waltz Through the Pretty Streets of Vienna
Whether you’re captivated by its imperial past, artistic achievements or its modern European sophistication, Vienna offers plenty of options no matter how long you plan to visit. As the birthplace of Schubert and inspiration to Mozart and Strauss, Vienna has a history rich in music. The world-renowned State Opera puts on seasonal performances, with the official ball season kicking off in January. They say all Austrians attend a ball at least once, so practice your waltz and be ready for an evening of elegance! You can spend a day strolling through the MuseumsQuartier or jump on a tram to Belvedere Palace to see Klimt’s The Kiss. Enjoy some shopping on the trendy Graben and Kärntner Strasse, or explore the vineyards around the Danube during the warmer months.

The apartment was easy to find and access when we arrived was simple. The apartment is huge and very clean. Quick walk into the centre of Vienna, or to tube stations and a large supermarket less than 5 minutes away. Great information folder provided too.
There is a church directly opposite that rings its bells every 15 minutes from about 7 in the morning until 11 at night - not a problem if it’s cool enough to have the windows closed.
Pretty 2bd/1bath apartment on second floor with high ceilings, central location, good water pressure, functioning washer (no dryer), functioning dishwasher, and clean facilities.
No lift and no air conditioning. Broken clothes drying rack provided. Apartment appropriate for colder months. Hotter months late June/July/August will/may be difficult for some guests without air conditioning. We were a family of four adults and two kids in mid June and we stayed 4 nights during a heatwave- we used two fans provided. Could have used a third fan for living room area for two of the four nights. Two comfortable beds but uncomfortable sleeping sofa with a hard horizontal wooden plank under the middle of the mattress. Would not recommend apartment for large groups needing to use sofa as a bed. Apartment apropriate for guests planning to eat out and those not relying on using the kitchen on a regular basis during their stay (relatively few (3) pots and one pan provided, somewhat limited silverware, only one large drinking glass and one wine glass. Plenty of very small drinking glasses were provided though). Don’t know if it is customary in Austria but we guests had to supply staples...such as sugar. Also, no bathing soap provided to guests. Guests must provide own basic supplies. Despite having character and a good location, the apartment at the current amenities is not functional or a good value for families. Sadly, we would not stay again at this location.
The location was great - the 50 circular stairs are something you need to get used to.
We found it unusual not to have the host or someone meet us at the apartment at some time during our stay. Also, we tried to send an email while we were at the apartment and received no reply from our host.
Central location, right near the Concordia Platz private car parking. The main central area of Vienna can be reached very fast. It was a clean apartment. The central heating was working very good. It is located on 1st floor so the missing elevator was not an issue. Overall it is ok for short stays (1 night), but for longer I would look into the other offers of Heymi. The main issue was the noise on the bar, otherwise I was enough pleased. A good price for what you get.
Since it is a historic building, it has very high ceiling which some may not feel comfortable about and the floor from the living room is squeaking when walking. There was a lot of disturbing outside noise (music and guys screaming) that does not let you sleep from the beer bar underneath the building till around 3:00 AM. From the window you can see a church, which is ringing the bells pretty often, it was not really disturbing for me though. Pretty minimalistic furniture.
Super clean and comfortable
Smack in middle of Ubahn stops, though there are easy bus/sbahn transfers to get to one. Very walkable to anywhere, but a map in the apartment booklet w sbahn/ bus numbers would help. It’s a little unclear that hey mi apartments had multiple locations, so I was in one spot and friends were in another. I put that on me for not noticing, though. The apartment itself was lovely, with just two small (very minor drawbacks. 1- it’s on the top floor w a very tight spiral staircase. If you have a lot of luggage, this may be important to you. 2- it’s next to a church with loud bells, and it’s above a bar. I don’t think you can really avoid that in Vienna. I’m envious of the bathroom. The bathtub is enormous and awesome! Nice big sitting room/ kitchen and the couch pulls out into a bed. I would happily stay here again.
